military stereotypes about coast guard?

my dad and bf are both in the coast guard and i've been a military child (i am not a brat) since the day i've been born.

im writing a paper for my class so any and all stereotypes are good!

ok marines= idoit stero type
army= not brave enough to be a marine
navy= alot of gays
coast guard=puddle pirates (not ready for real oceans)
airforce= not really hard

all of these are stero types and they are all bogus and yes theres some inter-military ribbing but hey we all serve and now what we do soo. hope i helped ya out a lil bit.

I once had a coasty in one of my classes. We used to rib him about doing six month deployments and wading home each night. We called him a "fresh water sailor." We sometimes called him the "Tidey Bowl Man." He was a good guy.

ms.jackson... has a spectacular aura about
the best one i heard was from a girl in the navy... she said she shoulda joined the coast guard cuz they still gets cell phone service when they go on deployments... she was joking of course but it was funny... it started because I was with a guy in the air force and we were showing his I.D in the visitor center on a naval base and the got into some playful banter... anyway hope it helps..
