Army & Navy Medical MOS QUESTION!. somebody please answer?

How come in the navy, their rate "hospital corpsman" A School is only 14 weeks or maybe longer depending on how the student does. While the Army's MOS "healthcare specialist (68W)" AIT is anywhere from 7-52 weeks long? I keep hearing that these MOS's are almost the same but I am unsure so I am sorry if I am wrong. Another question...how come so many AIT's are so long compared to the Navys A Schools?
