Plain and simple you should've thought about all this penalties etc. before you committed the crimes. With 4 misdemeanors and a felony you are looking at hard time and will not see the light of day again for a long time.

When the judge gave you probation he/she was giving you a chance to not have to end up going to prison. I'm sure when you first spoke with your lawyer, you were told by your lawyer what the judge could give you. Meaning that the judge could either give you a sentence of a certain amount of time, or he/she could give you probation. Your lawyer must have told you the amount of time that the judge could impose upon you, if he/she decided to sentence you to do time. I'm sure that your lawyer also informed you that the judge had the discretion of giving you probation. The judge decided to go easy on you, and gave you a chance by giving you probation. Since you broke the probation he/she can now give you what ever the amount of time it was that you could have gotten in place of the probation. You may now be looking at doing a few years or so. Call your lawyer and talk with him/her since they are better able to really tell you what you are now looking at. You may want to ask your lawyer if you should turn your self in, since turning your self in rather than waiting for them to pick you up may in fact look better for you. The judge may look at the fact that you turned your self in, rather than waiting for them to pick you up. The judge may be more understanding of your situation if you take responsiblility, by turning your self in. Again, consult with your lawyer as he/she will be better able to give you the information that you are seeking. Right now you need to do what ever it is that is going to be of a help to your situation and not add to the problem. Best of luck to you, I hope it all works out for you. |
