You should be able to defend a community program or service you fe el needs more public or governmental support. You have the right to believe what you believe and no one can take that away from you. If you want to defend something, go for it. The more defense something has, the better off it is.

care for the homeless!

contention 1 most homeless people have mental health issues, and are not capable of caring for themselves. due to cuts in funding, they just roam the streets.

Contention 2 a portion of homeless are people that have short term money issues, and were working taxpayers, getting them back on there feet as soon as possible has positive results.

Contention 3 In my area, homeless people have places that they can receive meals daily, however due to laws, the grants that are suppose to feed the homeless are often used by the shelters for income. (it is legal to have a non profit organization, and take a portion of the money as payment, so if you get a 50,000 grant, you can take 20,000 as payment for your services.)
