| Can a public high school make everyone do community service? My old high school has started a thing here in NC where everyone in the school has to do 40 hours of community service to graduate. It starts with this years freshman and they have until they are seniors to do it. They have 40 hours plus a 10 page paper. Then 2 speeches infront of community board members. Has anyone ever heard of this? Can they make you do this in a public school? The drop out rate is already high this is just going to push those borderline kids to drop out.      |
