What are some community service jobs i could do?

For 9th grade the class is making there own curriculums based on a community service project throughout the whole year. I need to know some good ones so i can choose for next year.

one of the best community service jobs, is working in a courthouse doing filing--for the clerks--sweeping,mopping, picking up the trash; or mowing the outside of the local courthouse. it does'nt get any better than that. think about that.

go to several area animal shelters to help walk the dogs, clean cages, and help out wherever else needed. that can be fun and at the same time a good service.

Is this a requirement to graduate as it is in my state? If so, your school will have an individual who handles this info and can help you out.

If not, think about what you would be interested in doing. Do you like working with animals, children, the elderly, the poor? Typically, you have to work for an organization that is "not-for-profit." Look for opportunities at the library, the animal shelter, a church, tutor at an elementary school, serving food in a nursing home...there are plenty of opportunities out there.
