How do you keep track your community service hours?

I do a lot of volunteer work, not really for college, but just for fun and interest as well. I've done a lot at a science camp over the last three years, but they just gave me some awful news- they couldn't find my hour log. (I'm in sophmore year.)

Anyway, I just realized the importance of keeping track of my own hours. Other than the hours I've turned in for community service clubs, I have no idea how much I've done. I don't mind, as I know I'll be doing a lot more work in the future, but I just wanted some ideas on how to keep track of them.

Well, what I do with my hours is I get the place that I performed my community service at to write a letter on their letterhead of how many hours I have done. Then I make a copy of it and give the original to my school. Then I go home and on a spreadsheet I type in the location and the hours and I put the copied letter in a folder.
