Teen Volunteering!?!?

what kind of answer is that (are you there?) stop posting because thats not even an answer. anyways here is my answer. check the local hospital because usually its fun because you learn some interesting things. just check local things and im sure you will find something. also you might be old enough to have a job so if you want to get paid that would be a good option. good luck!!

Check your local United Way chapter, they may have some good suggestions. Many charities do require that teens be 16 or older to volunteer --- so be open and flexible about possible assignments. Is there a type of volunteer project that concerns you? Like working with kids? Or animals? Or senior citizens? If there is a cause or an issue that you really care about --- that is also a great place to start, every organization wants to hear from potential volunteers that care about what they do. Finally -- when you look to volunteer, think of your special talents and skillls. I used to coordinate volunteers for a center -- and so many people have lots of talents they don't even think about! One teen came in to sing Broadway show tunes and another came in to do magic shows -- both were big hits at our center, but neither were things they originally came up with doing --- so make a list of all the things you like to do, and consider what you could do as a volunteer. You never know what talent you could use as a volunteer. Happy volunteering!

Your local animal shelter. They always need more hands.

Check at your local Planned Parenthood! They are awesome there and it's very rewarding. Plus, it looks good for college.
