| What colleges should I apply to? How good of a school do you think I could get into?
Ok, so here's a breif resume:-4.0 GPA -Honors, Running Start & AP Classes-Student Gov't-Certified NEVAC member-High school soccer & football-6 years premier club soccer (captain for 2)-School Newspaper editor-NHS member-Peer Tutoring-involved in youth group (mission weeks, fundraisers, etc.)-Near-fluent spanish-Knight Valor (Community Service award)-1 month mission stay/study abroad in Costa Rica-ACT=31-SAT=2100One route I am thinking about is media/writing/screenwriting, but I am open to any suggestions. I am flexible about the size, location and reputation of the school, but I want to go somewhere that will give me a good education but also allow me to have fun. I do not plan to play sports in college, so take that into consideration. Thanks.

Sounds to me like you will be able to apply to any school you want to. Whether any school will take you will also depend whether you need to have them finance your education and most might with your credentials.I do not know which is the best school for your career but if I were you, I would look for the best and top 5 schools in your area and apply to all of them.Good luck!!!

If you're interested in media/journalism then there are great schools all over the country. I graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Florida which is one of the top media colleges in the U.S. and has an excellent reputation, great faculty and great location in Gainesville, Florida. But there are several others: University of Missouri, University of Maryland, UNC, Columbia, Northwestern, and Indiana University to name a few. If you're also thinking about screenwriting, then NYU would offer you the best of both worlds as they have excellent programs in both areas.

Oh my gosh, apply everywhere that you want! I know it's competitive out there, but do it!I'm a writer and here are some good schools: Columbia is probably the best for media, journalism etc. USC Georgetown And believe it or not California State, Fullerton Their newspaper and journalism program actually ranks #2 in California, right behind USC. Chapman University has an excellent film school (if you choose to pursue screen writing) and obviously so does USC.I'm sure there are many more, but those are just a few suggestions. Write yourself a kick a** essay and apply everywhere!
