| Will I need a Wavier?
Picked up for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Never charged or convicted. Had a youth meeting (not a judge), which they said no charges were needed, a warning would due, and did 24 hours community service (note: getting the warning wasn't contingent on the community service).

Probably not. And as long as you're honest with the recruiter, you can probably go right in. I've heard from recruiters that you don't need a waiver if you've used less than once. They'll still need to know about the arrest for the background check, but you probably will not need a waiver.

Talk to your recruiter about it. Take his advice. Only he knows how things work in his recruitment district. Even if you need a waiver, getting one won't be a problem at all. They'll do a little homework, check in with the probation department where you did your "diversion" program, and it'll get cleared.

You will require at a minimum a review by the recruiting battalion commander. If you did community service that might make it a conviction in the eyes of the military. If that is all you have done in the past it shouldnt be an issue.
