Do i have any chance for ivy leagues? I'm a soon to be junior and i live in California. 9th grade 1st sem/2nd sem- i got 3.6 gpa (they didn't weigh anything for 9th grade , tennis team, 2 honor classes, had a C in Bio honors 1st sem but raised it to a B second sem10th grade1) Trig/Pre-Cal H C2) Mandarin 3/4 B3) World History AP B4) Chemistry Honors A5) PE A6) English Honors Agpa-3.8 (weighted)2nd semester1) Trig/Pre-Cal H B2) Mandarin 3/4 A3) World History AP A4) Chemistry Honors A5) PE A6) English Honors Agpa- 4.4 (weighted) i had to quit the tennis team after freshmen, but i play piano and i'm level 9 for exams. I have 110 hours of community service from rose parade, festivals, and library, will raise to 350 hours. My diagnostic SAT score is also 2040. I also took PSAT sophomore year and got 192, so I'm going to take it again and hope to get at least 220 for National Merit Scholar, and I got a 720 on my SAT II World History and took the AP, which i think i passed. I also take summer college classesI'm also asian. Any suggestions to improve my chances for ivy league?ahh, diagnostic SAT math-690, reading 670, writing 680, but i'm taking SAT prep classes, so i'm hoping to raise it up at least 200 points.I'm in CSF, NHS, Key, and Math Club

Do i have any chance for ivy leagues? keep working an improving.the cs wont get you there, but you have grade 11 and 12 the years that they look at. MAKE THOSE AMAZING! i sure am. i did okay thi year, but the next tree years im working like theirs no end!ivy league also wants a well rounded student, being involved, social, good grades, and references, as well as work experience is volunteer work is crucial.BEST OF LUCK!

Do i have any chance for ivy leagues? It's possible, but the C might hurt. Most of the applicants to ivy's have well above 4.0s because of AP classes and they have almost perfect SAT scores. So why are the majority rejected? It all comes down to what makes you different from all the other 10,000 who applied who have 4.0s and 2100+ on the SAT. You list activities, but other applicants are bound to have MANY (and I mean many) extracurricular activities as well listed in their resumes. What makes your activities better than theirs? What makes you stand out from the crowd?Strive to make yourself unique. Ivy's want students who not only have excellent grades, SAT scores, letters of recs and essays. They want students who with all of that, were able to do things that made them shine above the rest
