National Honors Society Community Service?

This is the second year I have been accepted into the Honors Society (I got the boot last year for community service hours).

I'm sort of that misanthrope cynical type. I don't really do much in terms of community service as it really hinders my own lifestyle. A lot of people are helping at their churches, but as I am an athiest, I'm somewhat disgusted by organized religion.

I want to put the Honors Society on a college application, but the community service is too much for me.

Does anyone have any ideas for community service that will not hinder my own lifestyle?

haha im in the same boat as you- i dont really believe in organized religion-so when i do community service i prefer to volunteer at the local clinic and as a concession stand worker at youth hockey games in my community- feed my starving children- many of the things in your community are available...
