| can I use a SMC EZ Connect USB fast ethernet adapter to connect my 2 computers together so I can network them? I have one computer running windows 2000 conected to the internet with a DSL conection, my other computer runs windows XP and is not conected to the internet, I would like to connect them together so I can use them both. I have an oldr 2202usb/eth conector from my old internet conection, Can I plug the ethernet side to my old computer and the usb side to my other conection, and will it work.      |

| You can do that, but you will need to set up Internet Connection Sharing or a proxy server on the PC connected to the modem. A MUCH easier way would be to buy a router...that way you basically just need to plug everything in and go...no configuration needed usually. |
