No one can keep us safe on US soil. Not Bush, Not McCain, Not Obama or Hillary period. We can catch the terrorists before they act but sooner or later we will get hit ... it is just a fact of life. we are not bullet proof, we are serious, cautious, well trained, ears out, our HMS, CIA,FBI and local police are doing a wonderful job at keeping us safe but sooner or later something will go through the crack and it won't be any body's fault.
As far as Iraq is concerned, yes it was a huge mistake, yes we are paying a heavy price for it but moving completely out of Iraq would create an even bigger chaos than we have now. Even the skeptic have to admit that in the last couple of month Iraq has been pretty safe and relatively quiet, so you know, we have to be fair and admit that something is working and something is changing in Iraq. We need to keep at it, we need to be smart and do the right thing. Leaving now would be a huge blunder as Obama puts it so well. besides how can Obama leave Iraq and then say he will go after al qaeda wherever they are ... since they are in Iraq what will he do? remove the troops then send a new wave back? non sense.
