Media Corporations?

In the 21st century we have more media available to us than ever before. However, these media outlets are owned and controlled by a small number of corporations. Given this, do we as American Media consumers have more or fewer options than in the past? explain.

I would think more, because we can access, via internet, virtually all media outlets across the globe. Access people to. Look at this forum. Random questions and answers to many, many subjects. Click a link to another nation, and you get information regarding pertinent subjects.

Sounds a bit boring if you ask me - here in the UK I think its Rupert Bear or someone who owns all our media. I dunno what this means, but there's always buggar all on telly. Maybe we all need to start thinking for ourselves? No, that would be silly.
