Is there anyway to avoid bad credit after being evicted?

My living situation has turned into a big mess. I am supposed to be living with 3 other people in a 2bed/2bath apartment. Everyone signed the lease and agreed to pay and move in. Since the first month, one of my roommates decided never to actually move in, but he still continued to pay. He also kept on saying he wanted to move in. He still hasn't moved in and still says he will pay. Just recently, another one of my roommates decided she couldn't stand her roommate and just decided not to live here either, but knows she must still pay the rent. For the past months, we've always had a hard time paying the rent because of the tenant who never actually moved in, but still says he will move in and pay. His name is on the contract and he signed it, and he knows if he can't pay he has to find a replacement. There is now only 2 of us actually living here, but i'm sure we will have a notice of eviction soon. what are my options?
