Xtopher has a spectacular aura about
What should a 19 year old's credit score look like ?

Bear with me. Ive been working full-time at a title company from the age of 17. This past march I turned 19 years old and like anyone my age have (I guess), I couldn't wait to get into the famous "credit game" that I've heard my parents talking about for years. You know, the game where you buy stuff and "the man" calls your house and your not supposed to pick up the phone because you owe "them" money. (Yes, that was a joke) Anyway, I checked my credit score from freecreditreport.com and apparently my score is 723. Which, from what I was told in the report is in the 50 percentile in the US. My main questions are really the following:
1. For having had 1 year of solid credit, am I doing ok for my age? Or am I behind?
2. By me checking my credit score through this site, will it affect my credit?
3. I don't make more than $1400/monthly after taxes, can I expect to be able to finance a car with this score and this income?
4. Lastly, were my parents right in making me fear "the man" ?
