| statute of limitations and credit help? What are the statute of limitations for credit card debt that's about $2,000 in Illinois? I'm getting the hassling calls, being threatened to be sued, and all this stuff, so I'm wanting to know my rights. I haven't been able to make payments as I don't make enough money to make all of my ends meet. I am working several jobs and trying to put myself through school. That being said, what are some good suggestions that you have about getting out of the debt? I do want to get out of this mess. I don't want to rely on friends/family because I want to take the responsibility to get out of the mess that I created. Would sending a check each month,such as $10-$20 help, just so that I can prove that I'm attempting to make payments? What do you suggest (no smart-allec answers please)? Thanks!      |
