Given how incendiary things have become in the Middle East, how important was the peace that he negotiated between Israel and Egypt?
Okay, I guess not. The Olympics, which have become a tremendous scam based on bribery and judge trading, were no loss. Returning the canal was merely the restoration of stolen property, however much it hurt to give it back.
As for the hostages, what can we do about madmen? Is Bush to be blamed in perpetuity because he could not capture Osama?
What I am saying is, can we give the man credit for getting these traditional enemies to make a lasting peace? Was that not a key reason why the entire world has not exploded with our subsequent ventures into Iraq?
