nexusmedia has a spectacular aura about
Texas Civil Judgement - Not a Texas Reisdent. How can they collect? Can this...

...effect my credit score? I distributed screensavers with a toolbar and the Texas AG states that even though there was no spyware or adware, because I did not allow the end user to opt out I was breaking Texas law. I do not live in Texas and I never knew there was such a law. They have filed suit and even though I have complied with all their request they say that have to collect some kind of money.
If I do not pay what can they do? Will this show up on my credit report?

I understand if I lived in Texas they could attach a lien to any property I own but I do not plan on ever living in Texas or owning property there.

Is this something I should be concerned with or should I just let them go through with it.

(They say if I send them a financial affidavit they might be able to negotiate a lower payment. However the affidavit ask for very personal information.)
