| Can I qualify for a credit card and which one?
My credit score is 653 and I have 77% of my credit open. I dont want to waste my time applying for a credit card if I am just going to be rejected. I have 2 cards now. A MC and a Visa. But they are both low limit cards and neither will lower my APR(currently 28.99%. I want to transfer the balances over to a different card with a lower interest rate.

Everytime you apply, the issuer pulls your credit and further lowers your score. Call you company and ask if they have any better offers and also if they can raise your limit (DON't SPEND THOUGH!) You score is affected by what % of your total revolving credit is actually being used.
