| How long does a default stay on your credit report?
I have three defaults on my credit report. They were marked as default 4 years ago. If i was to pay them off now would they still go after 6/7 years or will the 6/7 years start from the date i pay them off. If i dont pay them will they still go after 6/7 years. So if they will be gone in 2 years is there any point in me taking a loan out over 3 years to clear them if going to remain there for 2 years anyway. Have received credit report and have a few store cards totalling about £600, my car and loan which i pay off and have never missed a payment on and these 3 defaults from 4 years ago. Looking at taking out a loan for 36 months to pay everything off so just have one payment every month.      |
