How are zip lines for a senior citizen?

I'm going to Costa Rica with my son next month and know nothing about zip lines other than your suspended on a line over a forest. Is is fast? I don't like roller coasters so will I not like a zip line. Does it go fast?

Zip lines can go fast, but you will have some control over how fast you go. It's an incredible experience, so don't avoid going. You'll have a great time! As for your mom - as long as she doesn't have arthritis, or bad joint problems in her hands (you use your hands to control speed) I don't see any problem with it.

It goes somewhat fast, they have different safety rules than the US, its a blast, I did one near Playas Flamingo in Costa Rica, Its not like a roller coaster, its a straight shot between the trees.
