Shut up and get off my lawn, kid!

Nah, most old people I've been around or met have been exceptionally kind. The cranky ones are probably the lonely ones that rarely hear from their family and feel alone.

Yes alot of seniors are cranky and that can be blamed on the constant pain they suffer.

It must go in circles...when you are a baby, you are cranky because you want fed or your diaper needs changed Then, when you get to be a teenager, you are cranky because you always want something and don't want to work for it. Then, when you get to be a young adult, you are cranky, because it isn't as easy as you expected, and you want to blame everyone & everything else for your failures, so once again you are cranky. I think by the time you get to be a senior, if you are cranky again, a person has every right!

observe more closely, crankiness is not related to age --- it just continues through old age, and tends to be more noticeable because younguns are looking for the negative.

The so-called cranky ones are very very few indeed in number. The big majority are very sober, lively and are able to maintain decorum at all times. And they can be very entertaining as well, at times. I know quite a number of them who are quite a fantastic lot and highly admirable.

Sure I am. After answering the same questions for 70 years a person gets tired of hearing them.

This is straight from the horses mouth. A senior. It is true I think that your kids don't pay attention to a lot of things you say. So I feel really good when I say something amazing!!!!
I think most seniors are very nice to be around. I have this man across the street from me that is so unsociable. Barely speaks. I think old men are worse than women. Why is that?

It's not by choice, but things tend to go in cycles, and what's new and exciting to young people is just another 'go around" to some seniors. At least the ones who've been paying attention. Sort of like hanging on to wide ties, knowing they'll be back.
