| Is Native American Culture a cure for the ills of modern society? Many non-Indians, especially in the New Age movement, look to (all) Native Americans for the answer to what is missing in their lives. There is a revival of the "Noble Savage," myth that says adopting the Native way of living will bring us back to an idealized place before we were corrupted by civilization. Could this be considered a viable philosophy or cultural piracy? Or both? |
