Rep Power: 0 | | | are you a phony senior citizen? I am concerned that a lot of people in the senior citizen section are fakes. To qualify as a real senior citizen you must answer yes to atleast five of these questions:
1) Do you remember the second world war (i will accept alive for the war. i know how bad memory can be)?
2) Do you own a zimmer frame?
3) Have you ever said, "why dont you come and visit anymore?"
4) Do you think the youth of today use terrible language, are intimidating, disrespectful etc?
5) Do you have a stair climber chair?
6) You arent worried about having grey hair but you are worried about not having any? |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I am 53--I have two children, seven grandchildren
AARP has hounded me for 4 yrs to join so I can benefit from their discounts. I will when they can give me a decent discount on groceries.
My state says I have to be 55 to get the discount card they issue. I am not even goint to bother.
I can go anywhere and get senior discount because of my gray hair (even if I am supposed to be 55)
I don't of course remember the war, but I know about it from 2 uncles that were in it
I have asked why don't you come and visit anymore---to friends
Some youth do use the terrible language, intimidation etc etc--but on the whole, I treat them with respect and get the same in return
I don't have the chair--don't have stairs--but I know what one is and I have rode on one
I earned my gray hair, proud of it and hope it doesn't start thinning--I am female!!!
This is a fun group and I have known of at least one young person who comes to this site when she wants serious answers or answers that are common sense. I have read where young people love coming to this site just to read the "do you remember" questions. (have a few of those saved myself)
Have a nice day. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Oh Rob , please do not be concerned about such things . There are actually important things going on . I've always been honest about my age here ( 42 ) and I come here because I enjoy the people here although I do tend to dislike when people trash " the youth of today " . I'm raising 4 boys who do not use terrible language , do not intimidate me whatsoever , nor would they be disrespectful. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I do not remember the world war.
I do not own a zimmer frame (well maybe I do but I don't know what it is).
Yes, I have said why don't you come and visit anymore.
I do think the youth of today use terrible language (some of them).
I do not have a stair climber chair but have a cane.
I'm a bit worried about the grey but have not dyed it.
I am 60. |
