I'm writing a research paper . My topic is on domestic violence and is culture...

...or is society to blame? It's for my thesis statement. so is society to blame for domesic violence or is american culture to blame for domestic violence and why please help

No one is to blame but the individuals involved.
Domestic violence is the same as any other violence but it happens to be amongst family members.
The only reason it is on everyones lips is because over the last few years,certain groups have given it a higher profile because many women apparently thought it was inescapable.

I wouldnt say that domestic violence happens more now than at any other time.People are people,if they live together in a confined space there will be friction and violence in occasional households.

If you are looking for a cultural link to domestic violence,perhaps you should begin your search amongst our "cultural enrichers" from the middle east.Its a daily thing amongst these people and the "Hijab" becomes rather handy for public life the following day.
