Do you get mad if people who aren't senior citizens answer questions on...

...this category? or ask questions?
i ask because, i notice that sometimes people will ask serious questions and may-bee the young ones will mock or make fun of or just be mean...about this category..

Why would I get mad? I'm not quite a senior and they seem to tolerate me.

Hi Barbara C. here and I am 55-not a senior but,I am a disabled person with osteoporosis, fybromyalga, rheumatoid arthritis, artificial hip-waiting on other replacements so yes I do get mad when young people that are healthy and happy answer when most of them do not even have nothing wrong with them but, just sit by and criticize the people that they know nil about.they all say we know but,no you don't know what it's like to be in bed and need to go to the washroom but, can't get up or if you
are hungry and can't even walk 3/4 of a block
to get something.moving sometimes is a chore like even getting washed and dressed
in the afternoon as you can't sleep due to pain and agony. The only thing that would be really nice is if they could just have a bit of empathy and not ask but, just do and don't ask questions so that you have to think of what you are trying to forget to survive and that is the pain of living in a world of people that just seem to care about themselves only
I know because I use to dwell on this when I was younger but,now I just live day to day.
Yes I get mad and I;m not even a senior but,in some ways can empathize with seniors.

I believe that by the time one becomes a senior citizen and is
retired, they have learned much from their lives to be more
patient and more complacent with others. Of course, there
are some who visit the senior forums with the intent on dis-
ruption, by insulting seniors or making snide remarks. I think
the older ones, have learned to ignore and not answer and
leave the squabbling to the younger ones, that don't worry
about their blood pressure rising. But even with that, I believe
seniors have learned control and practice it daily. So I don't
believe, that seniors get mad. They just ignore.

No, because I think it is up to seniors to set the example for them and we can both learn from each other.

They are the future and carry a heavy weight on their shoulders.

It is my hope that they handle the future with care and make it a better place for their posterity.

It's a good thing.
DeeJay.

Not when they are seeking wisdom from the seniors, that is how it should be.

Some are truly interested in what to expect later in life. Some simply want to know. You can usually tell in what contex or, how they ask, where the interest lies.

It never occurred to me that people under a certain age were not intended to either ask or answer questions here.

It seems reasonable to (1) ask and answer questions here if you are a senior, (2) ask questions pertaining to seniors, regardless of your age, or (3) ask questions you want answered by seniors, even if you are not a senior..

I have observed that some of the most interesting questions and answers posted here are from people who won't be drawing Social Security checks anytime soon.

I do chuckle when someone erroneously thinks this is a category for seniors in high school and asks a question about prom dresses - lol
