Am I the only one that finds this just a bit bizarre and somewhat sad?
That prescription drug companies spend so much money advertising on TV?? Are people walking into Dr's. offices and saying, hey Doc, I think I have this, can you give me some ----- for it? Are we creating a culture of weak people and strong pills? Obviously I am not saying prescription drugs are bad, not at all but advertising them just seems wrong.

I don't think it's 'wrong' to advertise them, but I don't think it makes much sense. Only a doctor can tell you what prescription you need.

i don't think we need ads for meds. Can't the doc just know what people need.I do think we live in an overmedicated society.

I agree. Hopefully though, the doctors will have some sense and prescribe what patients need, not what they ask for.
