No. Everything works in cycles. Economies rise and fall and so do societies. Your reasoning doesn't explain why a lot of civilizations died off.

I disagree that the reason we are sinking is because we have lost our moral footing. Empires rise and fall all the time. The American empire is falling as Rome did before. The Asian empire is rising. This is the way history repeats itself.I think this fall has been contributed to by a president that has put us into bankruptcy by pursuing a immoral war.

If you think life is so bad thee days I'd love to see you go back and live with our Puritan Forefathers back when life was perfect. You'd probably spend allot of time in the stockade or be burned as a witch. All you doom and gloom supporters are just pathetic. Life is better now than it ever has been. Quit looking at the past with rose colored glasses and see what life was really like years ago.

I agree. The only solid foundation to build on is morally solid values and actions based on right not wrong. It made the west strong in the past and there is no reason that could not continue. The aggression and sarcasm of people who argue against this to them restrictive view shows them up for what they are.

Not merely the morals- but everyone has become a bunch of pansies!!!!!Ooooo save us, Government!!!! From everything! NOthing is an accident! You become suspect when your kid falls out a tree! Nothing can happen without fear of a lawsuit! Someone falls down on a sidewalk in a snowstorm and they want to sue the poor homeowner!SHoot some burglar in your home- or make a defense and a thief gets hurt- he'll try suing you. People walk around afraid of everything instead of bucking up and being fierce.Everyone sits in front of TV and is "BEING PROGRAMMED".. why do you think they call it "programming"????????People like to think because they "don't have religion" that they are not followers but my guess is they feed on TV hours and hours and hours a day. And what is it feeding them? We are becoming a nations of total MORONS.
