How do you feel about people with disabilities Such as Downs syndrome?

I'm asking this question because I have noticed alot of negitive people. I personally have a beautiful 14 month old son who just so happens to have downs syndrome. In my experience older people have not been accepting, and neither have many others. People look at him strange when we go out and I find my self constantly having to answer questions like "what does he have?" "whats wrong with him?" and many other rude inquirys.... I posted this to better understand the opinions of "the general public". I know some people dont like others with disablitys and I would like to know why.

they are people first-many people with developmental disabilities are hard worlers-they take prode in their jobs and accomplioshments-unlike the person without the disability who couldn't care less if they do good at their job at burger king or walmart....
