Neither . I am 63 but don't think I have reached the stage where I have to define myself as any thing other than growing old disgracefully.

Really don't care what you refer to me as --- but suggest you use the word "Mister" when you're speaking to me.

Senior Citizen or Retired Senior. Pensions are for people who have worked for corporate structures, isn't it? If I wanted something with "dignity" it would be neither. I might insist on being referred to as Mrs., Lady, Madam, or High Priestess lol!

Remember the old saying-

"Call me whatever you want,
as long as you don't
call me late for dinner."

It doesn't matter a bit what
you call me.
I'll answer to anything.

Senior citizen implies that there are also Junior Citizens, so I am not sure I would like that one. You may be old and not get a pension or you may get a pension and not be old.
Older person may be more politically correct. Or just 'ol fella' or 'ol wan' may describe the older generation better

I've always been partial to 'Hey you".

Beats most of the other stuff I've been called.

I agree with those who feel that dignity should be maintained, but dignity doesn't really apply to me. I don't have a whole lot.

I'm to busy to worry to much about dignity
