| Just look at questions that get asked here. The amount of ignorance about disability and the rights of people with disabilities is utterly ridiculous. This is a microcosm of society. Why have disabled parking near a swimming pool? Is it OK to park in a handicapped spot just for a few minutes? Is SS disability just a big racket? People use hateful disrespectful language that would never be allowed if it referred to Black or Christians. People choose best answers that use these words. People post jokes that put the person with the disability as the brunt of the joke (thankfully these are almost always removed quickly.) People question whether people with disabilities have the right to be born, to live. Just read this site for a week and you will see all matter of discrimination.      |

| As Chillswoman said the descrimination of people with disabilites is horrible in this country. Employers don't enforce the disabilities act or equal oportunity employement laws. Employers don't make special accomadations. Police mock and horrass disabled people. People have total disrespect for the disabled. Our government doesn nothing to help disabled people find jobs. |
