Effect of sport on people with disabilities?

does anyone know of a research or study done on the effect of sport on people with disabilities? anything such as improvements in lifestyle, motivation, education, confidence, etc... is good.

I need this for a research paper. Looked everywhere but was not able to find anything.

Thanks in advance.

one of my best mates in school is disabled, she has a mild form of cerable palsey. They don't let her do PE in school, which is pathetic as she can walk ok, and i think it would be good for her. it also makes her feel left out. annoying.

Sorry, but you must not know how to do research very well. There is a TON of information on this topic on the net. There are journals and conferences dedicated to this topic. There is one at Ohio State University every year in April.

I found these immediately -

Center for Recreation and Leisure http://www.unc.edu/depts/recreate/crds/

Sports Medicine/ Disability Research
