How do you help people, family and friends understand and cope with your disability?

[Hopeful]

I have a brain injury, I forget the stupidiest things, one day i can do something the right way and the next it is like i have forgotten how. I have been told that I need to be more considerate of their feelings and what they are going through. I feel like i am supposed to be thantkfyul to them everyday because they have helped me and to be honest they remind me and expect it. I have gotten to the poing whey they want to explian something to to me, I just say ok and let them talk throwing in a word or two even if i do not know what they are toalking about. I am at my witts end, if I could change this i would because I HATE not being able to rememeber or get to informatin i know I know. Now, I have to listen to what they knw because they DON"T have a brain injury like i am a sub human being. what do you all think?
I thank them everyday for anything and everything they do.. sometimes I thnk them more than one because II forgot I thanked them
