In order to receive the Stimulus Rebate, your mother has to file a 1040 or the EZ form. You can find these forms at your local library. People who do not normally file income taxes, must file for the year "2007" in order to receive the rebate. For more info, please check out this very informative site. www.irs.gov (This site will confirm what I have just told you)

YES! she is entitled to the Stimulus Rebate.. Please go to
www.irs.gov It has a rebate infomation there. She is eligible to get the rebate if:
#1 Earned at least $3,000 in 2007 wether it's wages, VA Benefits, SS, or disability.
#2 She has to file taxes even tho she has nothing to claim.
#3 IRS also has free file if income is under $54,000. Look under free file homepage.

From what I understand, if none of her income is from wages then she will not be entitled to a rebate, but I am sure you could call your local IRS office to find out for sure. I do know that even if you don't owe any tax you have to file to get the rebate.

Oh yes she is eligible! All she has to do is complete a 1040, even though she does not have income, she will receive 300.00. The reason why she has to complete the 1040 is that is where the irs is getting addresses. Go Grandma!
