| Finding private Salsa dance lessons that don't cost a fortune?
I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and recently discovered Street Latin/Salsa dancing. I enjoy it, I do plenty of group classes at a leading social dance studio, but in order to progress I need to fine tune and practice for my bronze & future medals with a dance instructor.
My lessons lost $66 per hour, and I can get them down to $60 in bulk.
My issue is this: these ladies - dance instructors - are not earning $66 an hour. I heard they earn in the vicinity of $15 an hour, which is less than me and I'm an apprentice. It sounds as though they get disgustingly underpaid for what they do, and the studio owner is making $$$ exploiting this.
My question: Has anybody heard/know of people who offer private salsa lessons in their home (or at least not in a studio)?
I have no issue paying $40 an hour, so long as it goes to the instructor!
Surely there exists professional instructors that do business out of their home in Melbourne?
Thanks everyone
Brett.
