| Can i still DANCE after Torn ACL surgery? I tore my left ACL March 2007 and am going to get surgery for it Summer 2008. It has "popped" various times over the year and I may have torn my miniscus due to that. After ACL surgery, and perhaps miniscus surgery, will i EVER be able to dance again?  I used to do pointe, ballet, jazz, hiphop. I'm terribly terrified about leaping and landing on my left leg for fear of it popping out of place because whenever it does it hurts sooo bad. Will i able to do POINTE again? It makes me want to cry when i can't dance the way i used to. Dancing is my life I love it.How much pain is it after the surgery? How long do i need to keep in the straight leg brace for after surgery? When can i walk again? When can I bend my knee? When can i dance? im sad, but not depressed; there are way worse things that could happed to me, but im just wondering when i can return to my old dance life.      |
