Sadie Hawkins dance help!?

There is this guy I like in two of my classes. He's really cute and nice.
I haven't really talked to him much but I really like him. IDK if he likes me back for sure, but I know sometimes I see he glancing over at me in class and I get a vibe that he likes me.
IDK if he knows I like him either.
Yesterday at school, I was going to ask him but I kept chickening out.
He was at his locker and I was talking to my friend (fake) and was going to ask him. I walked towards him, then he looked up at me and I looked away and walked right past him.
My friend said that he was looking at me the whole time!
BUT I CANT DO IT!
I am so scared of taking risks and most of all, I'm scared of being rejected.
What should I do!

The worst he can do is say no, and yeah, I know rejection isn't the funnest. But if you really like him and want to go to the dance, then I don't think your fear should stop you from at least asking. Take the chance, and if he says no, just tell him that that's cool - you'll ask someone else.

Usually when a girl thinks a guy likes her, he does. Keep looking for signs. Smile at him from far away, pick up small conversations with him, just be friendly. But ask him soon! Someone might ask him before you. D:

Just take a deep breath and relax. Then casually ask him how he's doing, and then ask him to the dance! But make sure you ask him alone!
