I'm in Ballet, Lyrical, Hip-Hop and Jazz....our class warms up and does strengthening exercises for half and hour....dancers use their LEGS the most....we stand at the bar and do 100 calf strengtheners where you go up and down from toe to foot...up down, up down......it sounds simple but after 100 of them you'll see what I mean....after a month I had muscles in my calves AND my thighs! Good luck!

What are some good exercises for dance conditioning?

i need some exercises that lyrical dancers do to strengthen the muscles needed for turns and leaps and all that stuff.

Abdominal exercises are especially helpful
