Do people rent and setup their own dance floors for a wedding reception?

Our reception site wants to charge us a lot of $$ for a dance floor. We can bring our own and I've found cheap rentals but how hard is it to transport, setup and breakdown a dance floor?

i did set up a dance floor before i found it a little annoying. If you put down tiles you know it is a pain if you do not line the first few evenly. The same with a dance floor. If you have used an Allen wrench you can put it together. That little wrench tool all ikea furniture needs to put together. Taking it apart is not something you want to do right after a wedding you would want to do it the day after, The tiles are not overly heavy but heavy enough that you do not want to walk back and forth carrying them after a day of a partying

Usually the place that you rent it from is willing to set up the dance floor for you. I am not sure how hard it is to set one up, but I am sure that you can get a friend or family member to do it. Or, you could rent the dance floor from a different place and ask the venue how much they would charge you to set it up. Sometimes it is worth it to pay a little bit of extra money to have it set up properly...especially because the day of you do not want to be bothered with stuff like this.
