What is a creative way to ask a guy to a dance?

Well we have this thing called Vice-Versa, where the gals ask the guys. I'm not this super-popular, beautiful gir, either. You know.. glasses, bad teeth, etc. I think I look fine, but I'm not really the type to have the confidence to do this. But there's this guy I like as a friend and he's really neat and I just think I'd like to ask him....

Get someone to from office or something. Give them a flower or bouquet with a note, tell them to give it to the guy during class, it is shy and if he says no, than people get angry at him haha. Or you can paint a huge poster and post it somewhere, but that's a bit more embarrassing. You can also just go up to him but you'd wanna wait till the time inbetween classes or lunch, after school is really the worst time.
