Are there any connections between the republican and democratic parties?

Someone with a huge bend towards conspiracy theories should answer this. For instance, skull and bones has members on both sides of the fence, right?

Uh..how about TODAY's headlines.

Mark Penn (CLINTONs guy) gets caught negotiating with Columbia on a free trade deal that BUSH is now pushing.

No need for conspiracies...

They are both extremely similar, and becoming more similar by the day, just look at the 3 people running for president, they are all socialist, big government = job security

Sure. Just like there were mason's who fought on both sides during the civil war.

They are one and all, capitalist's. As such, they compete for the same cash prizes. The Democrats hope to get money from the same people the Republicans have been getting it from. As of now, the republicans are winning the game. They have more cash and more experience in playing the game.
The real connection beween the parties can be found in your purse or wallet: Money!!!

Sure, the Republican party was born out of the Democratic party. We all had common goals until one election changed everything. Check your history:

I don't need to find out where they drank until they puked in college, just go to CFR.org and search for candidate names to see who has spoken there. It is a globalist think tank in the new sense that reserves the benefits of trade to only the international organizations and multinational corporations big enough to 'impact policy on the world stage'. This essentially cuts out individuals and small business entirely.

Obama, Clinton and McCain are all CFR. Ron Paul, a constitutionalist, not a globalist, is not.

I'd rather look at what they do and join that demonstrates their policy bent, rather than look at their connections with networking groups no matter how powerful.

I am not discounting the power of age old social groups, only saying out that policy is more important, to me.
