I am a Democrat. I hate Baracka. I think most of the people who hate him are Democrats. His sheeple don't know anything about him except that he speaks well and is black. They would follow him into hell. Which is where our country would go in the unlikely event he is nominated and elected.

Wow, very hateful indeed. I think the vast majority of Obama supporters who have come to hate Hillary for not conceding would not have nearly the vitrol for her that you do for Obama if the tables were turned and she had run the competent campaign and was winning.

So...What is REALLY bugging you about the idea of Obama having a shot at being the president of the US?


Additionally, Hillary had a documented 46-58% negative approval rating with likely voters EVERY time it was measured in 2007. (Negative approval rating = people who will never vote for her or will actively vote against her.) Is she more popular this year after the negative campaigning, after Ferraro, and after the Sniper lie?

Now follow the next logical step. If her negatives are higher, what kind of coattails would she have in the election? The answer is that she won't help any dems win congressional seats and might actually hurt by enlarging the anti-hillary straight ticket evangelical turnout.

THe Hillary campaign has only turned Obama from a surfefire winner with large red state coattails into a likely slight favorite after the nomination is decided with large red state coattails and modest blue state coattails.

In terms of the party going down with Obama in potential defeat, the party will still do better in congressional races with Obama than they would with Clinton. The negative opinion rating is the most straightforward rating of exactly that. Politicians understand what that means.

The party gets it and for the most part has prepared for Obama to be the nominee.

I hope that your unsupported anti-Obama rants are limited to being sour grapes (understandable and forgettable) and not simply an obvious showcasing of something missing in your character.

Torpedoed by whom? Mrs. Clinton has no chance of overtaking and Mr. McCain is looking pretty shaky. Obama is looking good to take the US presidency.

The only solution, like it or not, for the democrats (and McCain supporters know this) to win is for an Obama/Clinton ticket. I don't like an Obama/Clinton ticket and don't want one, but I do want the Democrats back in The White House. That means an Obama/Clinton ticket, so I will go for that. It's logical and a sure fire way to get in The White House. The Republicans won't stand a chance. Obama and Clinton supporters are too stubborn and staunch and both back their candidate fiercely. That's a good thing. That means high voter turn out, record numbers, off the charts. The Republicans don't have that magic this time out, and they can't compete and won't be able to compete with an Obama/Clinton ticket. Just mention it and watch them shake. McCain couldn't handle it. Couldn't handle it!
