Are they trying to offend rural, church going, moderate Democrats to the point they become Republicans and we never have a Democratic president or Congress again? The Democrat party isn't the "working class" party anymore (as my mother still seems to believe).
It has become the party of flag burning, late term abortion, gay marriage, Socialism and overall America hating.

You should learn what the term "neoliberalism" means.

Neo-liberals try to return to the economic beliefs of classical liberals (Very free trade, pro-capitalists). Republicans and MODERATE democrats tend to be the neo-liberals, not the left wing of the party.

Your complaint is against CONTEMPORARY liberals, not neo-liberals.

I would recommend taking a political science class, that way you could learn what these terms mean, so you can use them correctly.

edit: Actually, I'm not a "college kid." I'm a 32 year old man, going to school, WORKING and paying my own way through it.
And yes, I do think I'm smart. Thats why I'm going to school. I tried just being a "working stiff," working blue collar jobs, and I've discovered the only way I can provide a good life for my family is through getting a good education. Neoliberal economics has DESTROYED the American working class.

And I assure you, political science is a valid, complicated subject.
