Is the Democratic Party Really Divided?

Okay, we have all heard how the Dem primary is hurting them, but how much. Consider that historically the trend is that partisans of both parties, whether they really like the candidate or not solidify around their party's candidate massively. So my question is do you buy that the Dem primary is really hurting the Democrats and if so how badly do you think it is.?
I am a Republican by the way, just want to hear what people think about the subject.
I agree it is hurting the Dem party, but to what degree will have to wait and see until November rolls around.

the primary hurts Obama, because people will vote Hillary given the chance, that's the problem for Obama, as for me I believe in Hillary for what I need out of a president, and my next choice will be McCain so you tell me, who gets hurt

"When you consider that 26% of Hillary supporters (the bigot constituency mostly) "

And you wonder if the party is divided when they talk about each other like the above.

Sounds more like the far left slandering tavtivs, when people disagree with them.

Being that the dem party is a party of division to begin with, their present state of affairs should give them some joy.

Libs love this sort of thing.

EDIT: See above! lol - more concerned with how a candidate feels than how well their qualified.

Yes; I'm afraid we are. My calculations have it that Hillary will win the popular vote when it's all said and done by less than .01% of the total votes cast. Obama will still have the lead in pledged delegates and the vast majority of states won. It will be a 50-50 election. Then they will either have to do the 'dream team/joint ticket' thing (And if Hillary is leading in the popular vote, You can bet she will not accept less than the #1 spot) or else there will be very hard feelings all around. Having the superdelegates decide such a situation will be devastating to November hopes no matter which candidate they choose. It's too bad Michigan can't have a revote because it was not fair that Obama's name was not on the ballot and it MIGHT (only might) resolve the popular vote situation. But all things being what they are, I have to admit I'm becoming quite concerned about both party unity and how moderates around the country will perceive this train wreck. The thought of blowing what should have been a sure election and suffering through another 4 years of a GOP White House because of all this is what is truly terrifying me...

Yes, it is.

This primary has gone on longer than others in recent memory and has gotten more nasty and personal than others.

The supporters of the losing candidate likely will have long memories when it comes to November.

When you consider that 26% of Hillary supporters (the bigot constituency mostly) are willing to vote for McCain if Obama is elected, and vice-versa for 19% of Obama supporters when it comes to a Hillary win, I think it is pretty obvious.
