Sign in to tell Mr. Dean and the National Democratic Party that FL. & MI. have already voted.? We don't need a do over. Count our votes. What we need is the wisdom of a Solomon, not a Dean. If Barack Obama cries about lost Florida and Michigan votes we can always remind him that it was his choice to remove his name from the ballot.

I'm in agreement with your premise that your votes must count, however there is a legal problem that relates to the famous flap about the attempt by the democratic party to try to change the election laws concerning recounts in the 2004 election, and it rears it's ugly head again, It would seem on the surface that the leadership of the state political party leaders and the national leadership should come under intensive scrutiny, voters should not lose their right to be heard, the convoluted, in my mind, system of selecting delegates by the democratic party having been tweaked so much lends to confusion by the populace, and apathy, the inferred need by the states to "matter" in the election has led to this debauchery of our voting system, although I understand the legality of not changing the law during an election, after all it isn't a Federal election, perhaps all parties can learn from this, and for once and all make rules that do not cater to minority views but benefit the majority of the population

Given the original stance of the Democratis Party, no, they shouldn't have a 'Do Over' (that costs the taxpayers millions, by the way). Nor should they count the results of the primaries which they said they wouldn't honor. The Democratic Party drew a line in the sand. They made the rules. Now follow they rules, or lose all credibility. They have the bogus 'Super Delegates' to take the primary whichever way they want to, anyway. I'm not a Republican. Not for McCain. But the way the Democratic Party does business is really starting to stink.

How would you feel if your boss said that you didn't have to work on Saturday and then fired you because you didn't show up? Well before the primaries, Hillary Clinton said that Michigan's primaries "wouldn't count for anything." If Clinton has to win by winning contests that her opponent didn't even try in, that's not who I want for president.

I don't agree. Both of the states broke the party rules and held their primaries before the party wanted them to. If they want their votes to count - and I think they should count, the only fair thing is for both states to have a do over. Anything other than this would either reward states that choose to violate the rules or dis-enfranchise two very important states. The do over option isn't perfect, but it's the only fair way to go.
