Why do Urban African Americans still have faith in the Democratic party?

Just wondering..
Since these are the facts, and these are not my words. There is a link to the entire journal.
In the 40 years since the Democrats “took over” the
inner-city, crime has escalated, out-of-wedlock births are
out of control, there’s a 50% high school drop out rate
for black males and there’s a widening gap between the
black haves and have nots. And, where are the men?
Twenty-five percent of black males are somewhere in
the criminal justice system.

If blacks had continued, as they had begun, with
traditional families, respect for education and church
(which are values of the Republican party) the state of
the inner-city would not have descended to this level.

They have been in every single major city, (not federal) in the USA... Look it up and surprise yourself
