nomination? I ask the question in this context. Obama is in the lead now. He basically had been running away with this up until a few weeks ago, when a few overall close elections stopped his momentum. A kitchen sink strategy has also been employed against him and the words of a black preacher spoken during a service are being used to convict obama by association of racism.

Lets move ahead..now...lets assume Hillary clinton moves a bit closer to obama in the pledged deleage count and is only behind him by convention time by say 100 pledged delegates. Lets assume that the superdelegates give Clinton the nomination accepting Clintons big states argument and her momentum argument. Clinton is the nominee and runs against McCain. Explain how this entire episode will turn off vast sections of the democratic party without whom the democrats will be in danger of losing elections for years to come.

Some of Obama's supporters (young people, who are just beginning to vote, and the black community) will not easily forgive the Democratic party for being undemocratic.
