| How to solve the disunity in the Democratic Party?
There appears to be only one solution as far as I can tell. If Clinton wins, she will need to offer the VP to Obama. If Obama wins the nomination, he will need to offer the VP to Clinton. For me, personally, I would defintely vote for Clinton over McCain in the general election. But if Obama were to win the nomination, I would vote for McCain in the general election EXCEPT under one scenario. If Obama invites Clinton to be his running mate and she accepts, only under this condition would I vote for Obama against McCain. And I believe, that if Obama wins the nomination, he will need the support of Clinton supporters if he has any hopes of beating McCain in the election. This is my view. Please share yours.
For all this talk about how one side hates the other, that it just politics. At the end of the day, no real hate exists. You simply both sides are trying hard to win the nomination, and sometimes things get heated. But after all the dust settles, the clear choice will be to team them up, because not doing so risks terrible alienation on the losing side who would be outraged that the winner did not even have the decency to offer the losing side the VP. You make up and you move on for the good of the Party.
